Grenada which has a landmass of 132 square miles, lays to the north of Trinidad and below St. Vincent.  The island is mountainous and volcanic, with a reasonable amount of flat land along the coastal plains on the southern half of the island, which is also the most densely populated part of the island and home to many of the 108,500 population.

Grenada has a steep rocky coastline for the much of the northern half of the island, with the lower half of the island having a mixture of cliffs and sandy beaches, the most famous being the long golden sands of Grand Anse to the south side of St. Georges the capital.

The island continues to hold onto a small sugar industry and makes some excellent rums in several distilleries scattered around the island, but mainly in the south. Known as the Spice Island for it's cultivation of nutmeg, the island continues to grow and export spices, bananas, cocoa and other agricultural products, however tourism now accounts for the major part of the economy, with several marinas constructed in the south of the island and numerous small resorts and boutique hotels.

Grenada's foreign property market is well established and has continued to accelerate over recent years, with many new properties being constructed and big celebrity names purchasing major properties.  Properties tend to be at the mid to upper price level for properties in the Caribbean, and include many large homes and a fair range of plantation houses and small estates.
